Hey There Federal Funk Family,

Just to let you all know we have two jam packed “Federal Funky” weekends coming up:
July 25 Friday: CRAB FEST night at the Officer’s Club MCAS all you can eat, steamed or grilled including soups and salads for $19.95 starting a 5:30pm. MCCS Miramar O’ Club Brochure call for reservations (858) 577-4808 or just come and check us out. The last time we played there the Guards allowed some of our non-military Friends to enter. Just let them know you are going to the O’Club to see the FEDERAL FUNK Band and have valid ID (drivers license) and just incase auto registration/insurance to show them.

July 26 Saturday: Federal Funk Poolside at Harrah’s during Patti Labelle Concert night. Harrah’s management called upon Federal Funk to entertain the Harrah’s clientele before and after the Pattie Labelle concert, doesn’t get any better than that! So we’ll be at Poolside by the Cabana Cove Bar & Grill Cabana Cove Details

Aug 2 Saturday: Back at Harrah’s Rincon at the Oasis Lounge in the main casino from 8-1am.

Aug 3 Sunday: Federal Funk at the Main Stage Bar on Temptations & Four Tops Concert Night. Valley View requested that we play during the Concert night to entertain Casino guests before and after the Temptations Concert. Come on out and check-out our Horn Section specifically for that evening. And of course our power house Diva’s of the night LETICIA and YVETTE.

Here’s a short news clip of the MARDI GRAS interview with Fox News reporter RUEBEN, the Federal Funk Band and Men in Step. We were honored to be asked to participate in an interview with FOX 6 and participate in the Mardi Gras.  Thanks to our very own booking agent - Susan,  she’s a new member of the team and has already made a BIG impact getting Federal Funk well known in San Diego. 

The interview took place early morning at Dick’s Last Resort Resturant at the Gaslamp Quarters in beautiful Downtown San Diego. That evening at both Marde Gras parades the band and a few guest had a fun time performing on a float amongst 40,000 people. What a humbling experience!! Hey There Federal Funk Family!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!  Xmas has come and gone and its time to bring in the NEW YEAR!  Still wondering what to do for new years?? Come on out to the V Lounge at Viejas Casino and party with Federal Funk and the whole gang.  Do a little gambling and have some dinner than help us bring in the New Year at MIDNITE.  Show time is at 10:00pm at the V Lounge in the newer part of the Casino plus its FREE.  Don’t be confused with the new years party at the DreamCatcher lounge but your more than welcome to party there also however, cover is $100 per person.

 

If you missed our show at Humprey’s Dec 26 it was packed.  We’ve incorporated a number of rare old school tunes such as “Get the Funk out of my Face, Pretty Young Thing, Devotion-EWF, Footsteps in the Dark-Isley Brothers,  Angel-Chaka Kahn, Rapture-Anita Baker and many more”.  We also welcomed our newest band members JD (vocals) and Mike (keyboards) and you get to hear them again at the V-Lounge.
